Forecasts are just predictions

Silicon Alley reported that some of those that are forecasting ad revenue on line are scaling back their predictions. Overall the report says that the ad industry is “in a severe slump” and spending was basically flat over the first four months of 2008. Something to think about when we keep seeing user numbers growing and fundingĀ  flying to start ups or existing line video sites or mobile internet — it’s like a sci-fi film – alternate universes which will hopefully, ultimately collide.
