A Dutch company with the coolest name, Stoneroos, has launched an online pilot for a personalized EPG. This is finally getting into the realm of customized TV where you can pick and choose what you want and be able to access and pull content from the Web directly to you TV. Its about time we started to see some innovation in the otherwise flatlining IPTV world. The gap between traditional IPTV and emerging tech is becoming smaller but the industry still has a long way to go. If they move beyond the massive consolidation and into a more innovative era, we might just see some Jetson-like technology that we can actually use.
