All of the men that won this year’s title were all at ink’s third annual IBC party at PUR – which if you missed it – were not nursing a hangover the next day.
We are proud to report that these men (as we said earlier) have to have more than good looks to keep us interested. It was tough but all being tallied this is the list a few are repeats from the Spring list – but these men take home the, uh, trophy. And it really helped that they came to the party and drank so much. Sadly, we lost our memory card out of our camera (or someone stole it) and so we don’t have photos) But trust us – these men of IBC are easy on the eye.
If you have anyone you want to nominate or add to the list – post a comment. And remember, its only a bit of fun and if you are Swedish you probably have a better chance of winning.
Top 11 Men of IBC 2007 (not in ANY particular order)
Norbert Gierlich from TV1 in Germany – Alex is right – he was on the list. We met Norbert day one as we were running through the IPTV Zone and his CEO grabbed us and asked us to take a photo of them in the stand and that was all it took – we were smitten by Norbert. Now this guy is truly the Jon Stewart of men – witty, charming, polite, stylish and a most excellent head of hair. His smile reels you in and then you realize that you are aleady making plans for him to meet your mother.
Goran Nastic, editor, Cable and Satellite International – makes the list twice for his continued “darkness” Escorting him around to see our clients was never so glorious and for those of you who did not have the pleasure of seeing his Prada-like attire at our party – ha ha (we have a photo of Goran but at his request, we have removed it)
Magnus Persson, one of Dreamparks’ founders – was particularly alluring this year. His brain power alone is enough to entrance you, but its his school boy good looks and his ability to take the most technical material and make it sound like an Tom Chiarella Esquire article does the trick for us.
Daniel Karlsson, VP sales and marketing at Dreampark – hits the list again but this time for another reason than before. For some reason, he was channeling a whole new “Daniel” sporting an entirely different look – more like alternative band member on drums turned business guy. And he was full of really intersting conversation which always wins with us.
Adir Hadid – BitBand’s smoking hot Partner Manager – yes he was on the list earlier this year but can you even imagine a list without him on it? He always goes above and beyond for his clients and this is what makes him so hot. It doesn’t hurt that he indeed does look like a Versace model (my mom almost fainted when she met him in person)
Stuart Thomson, editor, Cable and Satellite Europe – stays on the list because is the ultimate gentleman and as we said before sports a perfect blend of old school charm and good looks – again, the Scottish accent doesn’t hurt.
Back to Sweden – the man in black – Mikael Samuelsson, vp marketing, Edgeware. Um, did anyone get over to the IPTV zone to see this guy? It’s like when the great orb in the sky decided to create something really nice to look at, they thought of this guy. A perfect blend of 1980s Timothy Hutton combined with uh, I don’t know a little bit of Brad Pitt and say, perfection. Black is our favorite color.
Okay this guy is a PR guy – but he was at IBC and darn it, he is nice to look at – James Woods from Axicom – we now have his last name but he combined a black leather choker and bead with a tweed jacket and sort of rumpled white oxford shirt and turned into a fashion statment. Tom Ford wishes he could channel that look. Plus, he makes PR seem really cool and effortless – which is way hip.
Another guy whose last name we did NOT catch — Chen from Siano Mobile Silicon — but he was at our party. This guy was really just the “super tramp rocker” of the show – he blazed around the Mobile zone like he had just finished his “set” and stressed the importance kicking ass in his job, cause well that is why they hire you. Plus, he had a set of eyes you could get lost in.
Ben Reneker – Senior Analyst, Kagan Research (otherwise known as SNLKagan, but that’s too hard to remember) Now, we have already alluded to Ben’s charming good looks and winning ways in a previous blog entry, but for those of you who forgot to read it, Ben is not only a James Spader look-alike but is also way smarter – this guy not only can spout off and knows just about every statistic and trend in IPTV globally but also has an ecoteric funky side that really gets us going.
Henrik Lindmark, one of the Dreampark’s founders and current marketing manager – yes it’s another McDreamy. This uber tall, soft spoken tech whiz takes the cake because not only does he have liquid blueish pools for eyes, but is the father of three kids and well, that is just really sizzling.

We left off the charming and ever so witty Neil from CSI. He had us in stiches all week and boy did he have a really nice jacket!
Neil’s jacket would like to thank Alex for her
kind words.
Neil’s jacket thinks it would have easily made the Top 10 list if it didn’t have to have Neil inside it.
Neil’s jacket feels that having to sit around Neil’s rather skinny, ragged shoulders rather cramps its
style and as for the supposed ‘wit’ and ‘charm’ Neil is is reported to possess, Neil’s jacket thinks he’s a fraud
I think Neil’s jacket should be a guest blogger on any topic of your choice. Come on Neil’s jacket!
Neil’s jacket would like to make the following brief statement:
After many years of shrouding, protecting and generally improving the appearance of Neil, it is indeed deeply satisfying to finally receive recognition as the real talent, brains and architect of the whole ‘Neil phenomenon. And so with a flower in my lapel and a freshly laundered handkerchief in my breast pocket -not to say a rather hip Punk Rock badge (or ‘button’ for our American cousins) I accept the honourary ‘Guest Blogger’ position at INK Inc. Here endeth the lesson.
Wow, totally left off another one. I dont know
how we could have forgot the hilarious and adorable marketing director of TV 1 from Germany, Norbert Gierlich.
From day one of the show, when we first met Norbert, we started talking about how he was top ten list material. Then when he showed up to our party, we were convinced
Here’s to you Norbert!
The only thing about Norbert that I’m not a fan of, and I mean ONLY – is that he calls me crabby. And well, we know its a common nickname, but I already have one IPTV-er running around calling me that and that my friends is enough. (ok so i’m lying, I actually love nicknames)
Check out Ran Oz of BigBand Networks. HOTTT!

Okay next show we are coming around to check him out in person! Thanks for sending it in stalker!
